Description

The present report focuses on the impact of Social and Sharing Economies upon youth unemployment. The objectives of the YOUTHShare project and of the Report on hand are thoroughly discussed in Chapter 1. In relation to the context of the next chapters, Chapters 2 and 3 offer an analysis of the Social and Sharing Economies, the first through literature review and the latter through quantitative and spatial analysis of their main characteristics and trends in the target regions and countries, according to most recent reliable data. Chapter 4 comprises an in-depth analysis of qualitative data collected during 2019 in all target countries and has as its main objective to bring to the front the implemented practices and beliefs of individuals involved in social economy. Finally, Chapter 5 presents an impact assessment of contemporary policies regarding Social and Sharing Economies and focuses on their effectiveness upon youth unemployment.

    The Transnational Employment Branch of YOUTHShare in Greece adopts, adapts and elaborates on the new practices for work inclusion based on Ripples in the Water Methodology from Norway -NHO- Confederation of Norwegian Enterprises). Based on this methodology, the YOUTHShare employment Centre and its staff aims through a person-centred and empower-focused approach at matching effectively the jobseeker with a potential employer.
