- Short description
Training grants are awarded to micro, small and medium enterprises in the craft sector. Awarding grants intend to promote targeted training programmes for crafts that ensure quality and motivated human resources with the aim of enhancing competitiveness, boosting productivity, and growing and developing craftsmanship. The maximum amount of funding depends on the type of support (e.g. the highest amount can be allocated for preparation for the masters' exam (HRK 5 400 (approx. EUR 726))). The minimum amount that can be awarded is HRK 1 200 (approx. EUR 161). The maximum grant is 80% of the amount of eligible costs. Eligible costs include the required licenses, costs for exams, specific types of (re-)training (e.g. for mortician). There is no preferential treatment.

- Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development announces the public call and awards financial support. In addition, maintains the statistical database on users and amounts of financial supports awarded. Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts publicises the information on the Public Call on its website and promotes the support schemes. Trade unions are not involved.

- All of the following target groups are equaly eligible: Micro, small and medium enterprises - exclusively crafts, cooperatives, companies. In addition. the enterprises have to fulfill the following requirements: - Must have their headquarters in the territory of the Republic of Croatia. - Must have an average of 1 to 249 employees in the previous business year. - Must have paid taxes, surcharges and contributions to and from the salary. - Must comply with the provisions on small value aid. - Must have fully justified and purposefully used granted small value aid if they have received it. Natural persons are eligible applicants under this Program if they are citizens of the Republic of Croatia and have a permanent residence in the territory of the Republic of Croatia.

- The aid is granted to beneficiaries who meet the prescribed conditions according to the order of receipt of applications until the final distribution of the total amount of secured budget funds. The maximum amount of funding depends on the type of support (e.g. the highest amount can be allocated for preparation for the masters' exam (HRK 5 400, approx. EUR 726). The minimum amount that can be awarded is HRK 1200 (approx. EUR 161). The maximum grant is 80% of the amount of justified costs. The amount of funding is directly transferred to the employer as costs reimbursement when actual costs have occurred. The grant beneficiary can reapply for the Programme is the beneficiary meets the conditions specified in the Programme. The maximum amount of all small value aid that may be granted to the beneficiary during a period of three fiscal years may not exceed HRK 200 000 (approx. EUR 265 006), including aid received under this Program.
