Cedefop vacancy notices for open selection procedures for Temporary agent and Contract agent positions are published on Cedefop’s website and social media channels, and on EPSO. Vacancy notices are also published on other relevant websites, as appropriate.

Applications are considered only if submitted through the online tool for applications (OLEEO), and by the deadline stipulated in the vacancy notice.

The stages of selection procedures are:

Preselection

Applicants admitted to the selection procedure are assessed by a Selection Board in an objective, impartial and transparent manner.
The applications are assessed against the preselection criteria defined in the vacancy notice.
On the basis of the preselection assessment, the Selection Board draws up a list of the highest scored candidates, who are invited for a written test and an interview.

Written test and interview

The professional knowledge and competences required as described in the vacancy notice serve as basis for the content of the written test and the interview questions.
The Selection Board assesses the applicants’ suitability for the specific profile on the basis of their performance in the written test and interview.

Reserve list of suitable candidates

Based on the written tests and interview results, the selection board will draw-up a reserve list with the most suitable candidates. Staff may be recruited from the list at any time during the period of validity of the lists, which is indicated in the vacancy notice. The validity of a list may be extended upon decision from Cedefop Executive Director.
To promote collaboration among EU agencies, Cedefop may share the reserve list with other EU agencies, with candidate consent. In such cases, Cedefop will inform candidates which agency(ies) will receive their data.

Inclusion on the reserve list does not imply any entitlement to employment.

The selection procedure may take up to six months from the closing date for applications to the approval of the reserve list.

Details information on the recruitment process is available in the Guide for applicants [coming soon].

Spontaneous applications

Cedefop does not consider spontaneous applications. Only applications submitted through the dedicated platform, and for open vacancies are considered.
